6. What issues do you specialize in?

I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, gifted and twice-exceptional clients, creative thinkers and artists, LGBTQ+ individuals, and couples. Areas of focus include ADHD, identity exploration, communication challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. I also work with many clients experiencing anxiety, depression and OCD.

In addition to my specialized work, I also support individuals from more general populations who are navigating mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and related challenges. Whether you’re seeking tools to manage overwhelming feelings, struggling with self-doubt, or working toward greater emotional balance, my approach is flexible and tailored to meet your unique needs. I provide a supportive space where you can explore your concerns, develop coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.

7. How do I get started?

You can reach out via the Contact page to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. During this call, we’ll discuss your needs, goals, and how I can support you.

8. What is your therapy style?

I use a relational and integrative approach, combining techniques from motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, internal family systems, and CBT. My style is collaborative, strength-based, flexible, and affirming of your unique experiences.

I’m planning to participate in several EMDR training programs to integrate this powerful tool into my practice in the future. Additionally, in the summer of 2025, I’ll be facilitating and offering experiential and outdoor therapy specifically designed for neurodivergent individuals.

9. Are your services neurodivergent-affirming?

Yes! My practice is deeply rooted in neurodiversity-affirming principles, and I am trained in supporting neurodivergent clients in a way that respects and uplifts their strengths and individuality.

10. Do you offer group therapy?

Yes! I currently offer group therapy options, including neurodivergent support groups, gaming therapy groups, and experiential therapy. Outdoor sailing groups will be available soon.

11. Can I meet with you if I’m not in California?

Unfortunately, I cannot meet with clients based outside of California. It is a long-term goal to get licensed in other states, but at this point I can only work with clients in California.

12. So wait, you are on a sailboat??

Yes, I am! For a few months of the year, I live and work remotely from my sailboat, offering virtual therapy sessions. The rest of the year, I’m in the Bay Area providing in-person sessions.

To clarify, I’m not sailing during therapy sessions—I’m anchored or docked in a stable location with reliable internet. This setup reflects my values of independence, creativity, and adventure, while still ensuring I can offer consistent, professional support. Therapy is about showing up authentically, and this lifestyle is part of how I do that.

13. How often do you meet with clients?

Typically, I meet with clients once a week, though more frequent sessions can be arranged if needed.

  • For clients who prefer maintenance therapy, I’ve worked with individuals on a once-a-month basis to keep the relationship active.

  • I’m also open to meeting biweekly, depending on your needs and goals.

The frequency of sessions is flexible and tailored to what works best for you.
